Case study Edinburgh CBT

Edinburgh CBT wanted a more professional, welcoming website and practical support with managing it. We worked with owner Jacqueline on the design, initial SEO setup and an interactive video FAQ feature.

The brief

Jacqueline provides cognitive behavioural therapy and counselling through Edinburgh CBT. She had been making changes to her Wix website herself, but the layouts and text weren't working as she wanted.

The website needed to explain the services clearly, reflect the business and make it easier for potential clients to enquire. Jacqueline also wanted an interactive way to answer visitors' questions.

Reviewing and redesigning the website

We used the Wix dashboard to review page visits, traffic sources and visitor behaviour. That gave the design work a more useful starting point than appearance alone.

Important information that had been difficult to find was brought forward. A darker green accent and black paragraph text improved contrast, while rounded buttons and image frames connected the design with the existing logo.

The pages and navigation were reorganised so visitors could find the relevant service more easily. Information about the practice and its accreditations was given a clearer place within the site.

Mobile layouts and initial SEO

The team reviewed how the pages worked on different devices and completed the initial Wix SEO setup. Work included descriptive image alt text, page descriptions and a clearer heading structure.

The published pages were prepared for search engines to discover and access them. This gave the site a more useful starting point for ongoing visibility work.

A video FAQ feature

Jacqueline wanted an interactive feature that felt personal. We used Tolstoy to present short FAQ videos, created with Jacqueline's voice and linked to relevant information.

The feature gave visitors another way to get answers and reach the contact details when they were ready. It sat alongside the website content, without taking over the page.

Giving the client more control

Alongside the website work, Jacqueline received guidance on the Wix dashboard so she could review performance and manage more herself.

"What I can say is that I've secured new clients this week alone. This is everything I expected and more! I'm more than happy to get rid of the old pages now."
